About Us

Msaada means "support" in Swahili. We chose this name because it reflects our mission to offer meaningful support to Black educators. As Black educators, we understand the unique challenges Black teachers face in public school settings. Our goal at Msaada is to create a supportive community by developing Black-teacher affinity spaces. By coming together and sharing our experiences, we can support one another and drive positive change in the education system.

We aim to create a supportive community for Black teachers to collaborate and promote change.

“We've got to work to save our children and do it with full respect because if we do not, no one else will do it.”
